Methods:
- Trainers must not use aversives (must be a positive, force-free trainer)
- Trainers must not use e-collars, shock-collars, or modeling (moving the dog into position)
Services:
- Rates must be listed (either hourly rate or package cost)
- State whether the training will be done at the client's home or at the trainer's facility
- If training is done in client's home, area served should be listed
- State whether or not the trainer will work with service dogs, service dogs in training, and aggressive dogs
Staff info:
- Staff's names
- Photo of staff
- Years of experience
- Where the trainer learned their training
- Any certifications the trainer has
To facilitate transparency, dog trainers must have a website that includes:
- Business address
- Business phone number
- Business email
