Before an hour-long down-stay at the tire-alignment-store, I did a "pee-stop" with Xander at a tree before entering the store. Xander had a looooooooong pee--a good reminder to always give the dog a pee-opportunity at a tree before entering a store!

It's best to go to a restaurant super-early (or super-late, like 2:30pm) because then there's a much better chance of getting a table next to a wall. Today, though, Xander has to squeeze his big body under a table. :-) Good dog!

Totally Kids is offering 10% off (going to charity Pawsitivity) during their month of August "Dog Days of Summer"!! You can buy anything with the 10% off either online at www.thebeanbagstore.com or at their store at 7876 Portland Ave South in Bloomington! Totally Kids is famous for their bunkbeds (that can look like a castle, or a loft, or have stairs, for instance), but they've got a huge store of amazing toys, too! And on (probably 8/27), trainee-doggie Xander will visit!

Pawsitivity had a very busy and productive dog week! Two new rescue pups, Rhino and Brie, arrived from North Carolina. Rhino has happily settled in with his wonderful foster family, who will keep him for us during Xander's training. We decided that Brie would be happier as a pet than a service dog, and we found her a forever home. Today she went to live with a retired couple in St. Paul who has two other elderly dogs. Now renamed Caroline, she'll be a great companion and will help her new man get out for lots of walks. Xander's training continues to go well! We have sent him to dog camp for the next week since we'll be going on a little "retreat." Our friends Sophia and Duncan graciously invited us to stay in their farmhouse for a few days. And Quinn will be joining us! She and Tom are prepping for the week ahead by taking a little nap.
