Getting the dog to think of their crate as their home
Syd learning to love her cozy crate! Sometimes people are a little unused to using a crate for a dog, but we like to explain the use of it by describing how fun it was as a kid when you got to build a fort under your dining room table. Dogs love cozy places, just like kids love a cozy spot to hang out.

Newest Rescue Dog to Train to Work as a Service Dog
Introducing Happy Bear, our newest service dog candidate! Found as a stray, Bear had a bit of a rough start--he was treated for worms (which is why he's so skinny) so we're getting him into tip-top shape while we evaluate him. Bear is named after Pawsitivity sponsor Susan "Happy Bear" Janda. A sweet, smart pup, he is settling in, learning the routine, and all the dogs are getting along well!

Dani and Her Boy

Meeting his future service dog
Dani and her boy with severe disabilities, including blindness, and his loving grampa take a stroller walk. Dani showed interest in a squirrel at one point, but then ignored it...and her boy eventually wanted to get out and move about more! Yay! Such an active visit!
