This card we received from Homer's new handler yesterday is one of the best pieces of mail we've ever gotten! I literally burst into tears of joy when I read it.

Introducing CC, our newest candidate dog! This sweet lab is 2-3 years old, and we named her Catherine (nickname “CC”) after the woman in northern Minnesota who rescued and rehabilitated her, then donated her to us. We are still evaluating her and doing some basic training, and she is doing great so far. She is settling in and getting along very well with Daniel (our other dog-in-training) and Quinn (our pet dog).

While it's not possible to get the dogs acclimated to every single stimulus in the world, we do our best. Today? Nuns.
